LIKE A MOTHER BEAR
We’re excited to announce that Black Swan's co-artistic director, Helen Stoltzfus has been invited to perform her solo play, LIKE A MOTHER BEAR, at the 27th annual “Ko Festival of Performance” in Amherst, MA July 27 – 29. Helen will also be teaching a 6-day intensive at Amherst, Theatre As If Your Life Depended On It, July 30 – August 4. Here's a link to the FESTIVAL.
LIKE A MOTHER BEAR follows Helen’s personal journey to healing in which she discovered the Great Bear Mother of the imagination, the intimate connection between her illness and the environment, and the very real endangered grizzly bear that she encountered in Alaska and in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, where a population of just thirty bears teeters on the brink of extinction.
